Felt is a wonderful material—both firm and soft at the same time—making it ideal for creating a temporary safety cover for the Montessori tower that is easy to install and remove. The felt safety cover attaches and detaches quickly using snap fasteners and helps prevent accidental falls of very young children (under 18 months) from the tower, as well as slipping while climbing up or down.

A Montessori learning tower should be used when a child is developmentally ready—that is, when they can use it safely on their own. The purpose of a Montessori tower is to encourage independence, which is why children should normally be able to climb in and out freely and independently, whenever they wish. Thanks to the felt safety cover, our tower can be used even before a child is able to climb independently. When it is no longer needed, the cover can be removed easily. This feature makes our tower truly unique.

Parents can individually decide when the felt safety cover is no longer necessary.

When the tower is used as a high chair, the felt safety cover provides additional safety and comfort for children aged 8 to 18 months.
